For 5 students from Aberystwyth University, a very exciting journey is about to begin.
Carys Bevan (Second Year English Literature and Drama & Theater, 19, London), Marged Smith (Second Year Welsh and History, 19, Wales), Giselle Rosetta (MA in Physics, 21, Brighton), Sam Schanzer (Second Year English and Creative Writing, 20) and Vera Tzoanou (First Year Psychology, 18, Greece) have been selected to represent Aberystwyth University as cultural ambassadors to Yosano, Japan.
I would also like to thank the Aberystwyth Alumni Aber Fund, for kindly sponsoring mine and another girl's participation in the trip, the Heads of Departments and especially Dr. Nigel Holt, Head of Psychology, for his amazing help, Professor Gary Rawnsley of International Politics and Dr. Val Nolan of English and Creative Writing, who will accompany us on this amazing trip.
